AquaMirage.com was originally created as an anime fan site, back in April of 2001, to provide images, information, and entertainment to anime fans. We've evolved a bit since then to include a wider range of interests. AM.c is run by three people; Zandra, Vallen, and Xan. The domain name comes from Sailor Mercury's special attack, "Aqua Mirage." Sailor Mercury is Zandra's favorite sailor scout, and in the beginning we started out as a simple anime fansite, with images and series information, starting with Sailor Moon and Blue Seed, expanding to cover other series as our interests expanded. We were originally hosted by Kaitou Ace and switched to Cyberpixels in June 2002. We then switched to Surpass Hosting in August, 2004, where we're currently quite happy (knock on wood). Well, there's our history; I hope you enjoy our site!
layout design
Nearly all of the layouts and designs on AquaMirage are done by Zandra. The tools used are usually Adobe ImageReady/Photoshop, for the images, and then TextEdit for the addition of html. The FTP program used is Cyberduck. Please do NOT steal any of the layouts displayed here, as Zandra spends lots of time and energy on them. We don't mind if you use some of the code to aid you in your own webdesigning endeavors (that's how you learn!), or if you use ours as inspiration. But please please don't steal our layouts!

picture-stealing policy
We don't care if you take any pictures from any anime that are posted here! If we were picky and miserly, we would not put the stuff up on the internet in the first place!!! But if you have a site, and take a bunch of stuff from us, please feel free to link to us. Also, we do request that you link to us if you take images from something we've scanned personally, e.g. an artbook, playing cards, or something else we've specified. Thank you!
