This costume exists purely because Zandra is awesome and loves me. ItÕs also something of a self-indulgent costume since I decided to do it even though nobody else had played the game, but I love it so, so, so much. Yuri is my favorite video game character of all time and I wanted to do him justice. Zandra and I didnÕt have a whole lot of time to make this costume, but it turned out SO AMAZINGLY WELL that youÕd never even know. My only regret was that my wig didnÕt get delivered in time to wear to my first Otakon, but I have it now, so IÕll have to get some good pictures of the costume with wig. Yuri is tons of fun to wear (despite some issues with the jacket fitting right Š I blame my body being unable to remain one size for longer than five minutes), mostly because the people who recognize me generally flip the fuck out. This costume is easily one of my favorites. I canÕt wait for more chances to wear it. |
