Sanzo is so sexy. I love the "half" costume, with the black arm things and the robe sleeves off. I made a big paper fan, but left it at home so I didn't have it at Yaoi-con where I first wore the costume. *sigh* Anyways, this was a solo costume for me, since I only went to Yaoi-con with one other person (Bree) and nobody else was really interested in Saiyuki cosplay. (That's because Sanzo is just so sexy :9 and the other costumes just aren't as cool...although Hakkai is hot too......) Anyways, one of my favorite things about this costume was that I had a Saiyuki villain come up to me and she gave me a mahjong tile! XD it was so cool. I also had several people complement me for having the full Sanzo with the crown and drape (there were at least two other Sanzos there). I was a bit off on the size of the green shoulder thing and the breastplate (the drape was a bit too wide, the breastplate a bit too small) Ah well. My only other regret was that I couldn't get the shoes in black, b/c the site I ordered them from only had black ones in size 5 (who has feet that small?!) so I got the white ones. I don't really think it matters all that much though. I probably could've found black ones if I'd been willing to pay more or look around some more, but it was easier to order the shoes from the same place as the tabi socks ($4 for socks, $5 for shoes). I also was quite pleased with the way the wig turned out, since I actually styled it myself (without Vallen the Wig Guru to help me! it was my first time) so...yeah. that's the blurb on Sanzo.
