Xan, Zandra and I saw Duel Jewel in concert at A-kon 13, then again at A-kon 14, where Natsuki wore this outfit. He wore this outfit again at their AX live, but with braids instead of a black and grey dreadlock-tail. I didn't know how to make dreads, so I chose to do the braids instead. I had a lot of fun making the wig, gluing 25+ tiny braids to the wig cap. It just so happens that a good friend of mine owns the exact jacket Natsuki wore, so I was able to borrow that. The skirt, I think, was my greatest achievement. It was my first time making pleats and it came out wonderfully. The smaller pleated area on top of the main skirt is separate and I wear it all the time over my jeans. I even got fake piercings for my lip. The Hundredclub shirt wasn't made until A-kon 16, with the help of Zandra's photoshop skills. This was my first j-rock cosplay, but it definitely inspires me to do more!

Aaaah, Jrock cosplay. This was done to go with Vallen's Natsuki costume. Both of them are from the Jrock band Duel Jewel, which is awesome. Major props to Zandra for pulling this costume off literally the night before the con. A lot of it was made by modifying stuff I already had, like the shirt, overshirt and shoes. I also had to buy the wallet chain. *glomp* My favorite part is definitely the wig. I love this wig so much that I wear it around other places just for the hell of it. I love this costume in general because it's cool and comfortable and fun to wear, even if it isn't as flashy as some of the others. ^^;;; Oh and as a final note, the handcuffs aren't actually a part of the costume - they were just lying around the photoshoot and I decided to have some fun.
